Privacy policy
Draft version — October 2026
Josriri Sports Management Ltd ("Josriri", "we", "us") operates a player registration, video showcase, and athlete representation platform in Kenya. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it, in line with the Data Protection Act, 2019.
What we collect
- Player profile data you provide at registration: name, date of birth, sport, position, club, county, division, and bio.
- Photos and videos you upload to a profile. Uploads are reviewed by our team before they are visible to anyone else.
- Private contact details (email and phone) that you choose to store on your account. They are kept separate from your public profile, are never shown in the public directory, and are visible only to you and to authorised Josriri staff. Each time staff open them, we record it in an audit log.
- For players under 18: a parent/guardian's name, relationship, and contact details, plus a record of the consent they gave and when.
- Highlight video links and descriptions you or your club submit.
- Introduction requests from scouts, clubs and sponsors: name, organisation, email, optional phone, and the message they send.
- Basic technical data (IP address, timestamps) associated with consent records and account actions, kept for accountability under the Data Protection Act.
Why we collect it
To operate your public profile (where applicable), power scout and sponsor search and discovery, verify statistics and highlights, handle introduction requests, administer any representation agreement you enter into with Josriri, and meet our legal obligations around minors' data and record-keeping.
Minors
Players under 18 do not appear in the public directory, and their photos and highlights are not published, unless a parent or guardian has explicitly consented. Consent is recorded with a timestamp and can be withdrawn at any time from the guardian's account or by contacting us. Withdrawing consent removes the player, their photo and their videos from public view within about a minute.
Who we share data with
- Scouts, clubs and sponsors can see only what is on the public profile. They never receive an athlete's or guardian's contact details from us. If one wants to connect, they send an introduction request. Our team reviews it first, and only an approved request is passed to the athlete (or guardian), who decides whether to reply.
- Federations and clubs you're affiliated with, for statistic verification purposes.
- We do not sell personal data to third parties.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2019, you (or a player's guardian) can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data held about you, and can withdraw consent at any time. You can remove your own photo and uploaded videos from your account page at any time. Contact us to exercise any other right.
Data retention
We keep profile and consent records for as long as the account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal and dispute-resolution purposes. Deleting a player profile removes dependent personal data (guardian records, consents, photos, uploaded videos, private contact details and highlights tied to that profile).
Contact
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to skywalkerstalents@gmail.com. A dedicated data protection contact will be published here once the ODPC data controller registration is complete.
